Why the Controversy?

I (#blogger #blog #somseason #YA #authors) have been hearing about the movie ‘Sound of Freedom’ for a while now, and being that it is playing in a nearby theatre, my wife and I went to see it. This movie is ‘eye opening’ and emotionally moving. No one can see this movie without being affected, especially since it is based on a true story.

This movie tells the true story of Tim Ballard, who was a special agent for the Department of Homeland Security, who was moved to quit the agency and launch a non-profit organization. The organization is called Operation Underground Railroad and is devoted to fighting child sex trafficking throughout the world. In case you haven’t seen it, here is the trailer.

What I find interesting is that the movie was made in 2018, was supposed to be released by Fox the following year, but Disney bought the studio and shelved the movie. Why would the Disney Corporation shelve the movie? Is Disney trying to prevent people from seeing it? That is my conclusion. There is no other logical reason. Yahoo News has an article entitled, Why Are So Many People Are Against The ‘Sound Of Freedom’ Movie — Despite The Very Real Issue It Covers? That’s a good question. I am baffled. Why are people—especially Legacy or Mainstream Media—against a movie that is based on a true story and is about child sex trafficking? They should be encouraging people to see the movie, not the opposite.

Celebrities like singer Jewel and actor/director Mel Gibson are among those to publicly embrace the film and encourage fans to go see it. Donald Trump also has endorsed the movie. Perhaps that is why Forbes wrote an article entitled: Here Are The Right-Wing Figures—From Donald Trump To Steve Bannon—Championing Surprise Hit ‘Sound Of Freedom’. The movie seems to be labeled as ‘Right Wing.” According to Deffin, the differences between left-wing and right-wing ideologies center around the rights of individuals verses the power of the government. Left-wing ideology believes society is best served with an expanded role for the government whereas right-wing ideologies advocate for individual rights. Is Mainstream Media against individual freedom since they are bashing the Sound of Freedom movie?

Slate, a daily magazine on the web and podcast network writes about How Sound of Freedom Misrepresents Its Subject—and Why the Movie Is So Seductive, saying the movie is the exact point where a legitimate problem and dangerous conspiracy theory meet. Need I remind you that according to Paul Craig Roberts, chairman of the Institute for Political Economy, the term “Conspiracy Theory” was invented by the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) in order to prevent disbelief of official government stories.

Let me refresh your memory with an example. The mainstream media pushed the narrative that the COVID-19 vaccines were safe and effective and anyone who believed otherwise was ridiculed as a conspiracy theorist. Big Pharma has now admitted that their COVID-19 vaccines can cause serious blood clots and that the vaccines don’t stop transmission. I wrote about this in a previous blog. Those alleging COVID vaccines were dangerous, opposing the official government narrative, were accused of promoting conspiracy theory, yet as it turned out, they were speaking truth. ‘Conspiracy theory’ is an overused term used to demonize those who negate the official government storylines.

Legacy media is also trying to discredit the movie, Sound of Freedom. Yahoo’s article, Why Right-Wing Conspiracy Theorists Are Embracing ‘Sound of Freedom’, also connects the movie to conspiracy. Toronto Star’s article, Sound of Freedom: Why a film about human trafficking is accused of trafficking in QAnon conspiracies does as well. According to the BBC article, QAnon: What is it and where did it come from? “QAnon is a wide-ranging, completely unfounded theory that says that President Trump is waging a secret war against elite Satan-worshipping paedophiles in government, business and the media.” The Washington Post makes this claim as well in its article, ‘Sound of Freedom’ is a box office hit whose star embraces QAnon, as does the Guardian who says, Sound of Freedom: the QAnon-adjacent thriller seducing America.

Some media is more derogatory. Yahoo news says the ‘Sound Of Freedom’ Is a Superhero Movie for Dads With Brainworms. That’s insulting, especially since I am a dad. Watch the CNN News Clip bash the movie. Listen as CBC Radio columnist, Rad Simonpillai, who says the movie is “a dog whistle for xenophobic Pro-Trump, Pro-Life types.” The Rolling Stone article, Why Anti-Trafficking Experts Are Torching ‘Sound of Freedom’ says the movie offers a “false perception” of child trafficking that experts worry could further harm the real victims. Who are these experts? There is little doubt for me that Legacy media is trying to prevent people from seeing the movie. Why? Are they trying to hide something? Truth perhaps?

Some people wanting to see the movie claim they are being prevented from seeing it, as the New York Post says ‘Sound of Freedom’ audience claims: Theaters sabotage showings. Why would theatres sabotage showings by forgetting to dim the lights, turning off the air conditioning in theaters, or effecting an emergency evacuation.

Yet, despite this ‘Sound of Freedom’ is now PROFITABLE while Disney’s Box Office Bombs AGAIN! It has reached a Box Office Milestone: ‘Sound of Freedom’ Crosses $100M in U.S. Why is that? Something about this movie draws people to see it. Maybe others are like me, as I choose to draw my own conclusions about the movie. I stopped listening to Legacy media three years ago.

I for one, think everyone should see this movie because human trafficking is bullying (#bullying, #antibullying) of the evilest kind. Tim Ballard says to someone in the film that child sex trafficking is rarely discussed because it’s “too ugly for polite conversation.” It is an ugly topic. The International Labour Organization (ILO) says forced labour generates annual profits of US$ 150 billion (source). The movie claims human trafficking is a 150-billion-dollar a year operation. That’s shocking!

Tim Ballard, in the movie also said, “Do you know there are 22 million new images of child porn on the internet? That’s up 5,000% from just 5 years ago. 5000%.” Ballard says, “It’s [child trafficking] already surpassed the illegal weapons trade, and soon it will surpass the drug trade. Do you know why? You can sell a bag of cocaine once. A 5-year-old child, you can sell them 5-10 times a day, for 10 years straight.” In one of the movie’s most powerful scenes, Tim says, “God’s children are not for sale.” Yet, there are those you don’t want you to know this.

One of the statements made in the film that left me speechless is: “In 2023, there are more people enslaved than in any time in history, many of those are children.” According to ILO, 50 million people worldwide live in modern slavery (source). My intuition tells me the number is much higher.

A definition of human trafficking is the act of recruiting, harboring, transporting, providing or obtaining a person for compelled labor or commercial sex acts through the use of force, fraud or coercion. Human Trafficking Search (HTS) seeks to raise awareness and help prevent and eliminate human trafficking worldwide. According to them, there are six types of human trafficking

Sex trafficking and child sex trafficking
Forced labour
Debt Bondage
Forced child labour
Involuntary domestic servitude
Unlawful recruitment and use of child soldiers

William Wilberforce, a British politician, philanthropist and a leader of the movement to abolish the slave trade once said, “You may choose to look the other way but you can never say again that you did not know.” I couldn’t have said it better myself. It was Condoleezza Rice who said, “Defeating human trafficking is a great moral calling of our time…” You can no longer “stick your head in the sand” meaning you can no longer pretend that human trafficking does not exist.

Human trafficking is modern day slavery and it is a world-wide problem. We live under the illusion that slavery is illegal—which it is—and no longer exists. It may be “too ugly for polite conversation,” but it is a topic that must be talked about. That is the sole purpose of the movie. The first step to solving any problem is awareness. Start by going to this movie. Educate yourselves. Formulate your own opinions and stop listening to what others tell you. It is time for you to think for yourself and do you part in making this a better world for our children.

You Can’t Make This Stuff Up 2.0

English actress, Keira Knightley, once said, “I have no idea whether I am completely sane. I don’t think anybody is. I see the world through my eyes. It’s sometimes a strange world….” I (#blogger #blog #somseason #YA #authors) can relate to what Keira says as in the last few years I too have questioned my sanity, and I too see a strange world. Why is the world strange to me? In my last blog post I sited many examples of our strange world in a post titled, You Can’t Make This Stuff Up. I am about to tell you even more things reported as truth, strange truth, and I assure you I didn’t make any of it up.

Disneyland is proclaimed as the happiest place on earth. I’ve been there twice, and I’ll admit it is a fun place. But when I read Disney is blasted for allowing mustachioed employee to wear dress for shoving “woke” agendas down children’s throats, I wonder about that claim. Apparently, this mustachioed “Fairy Godmother’s Apprentice” welcomes children at Disneyland’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, a boutique that sell princess dresses. So Disney has guys in dresses selling princess dresses to kids. That is just weird. As I’ve said, you can’t make this shit up. Then there are the Toronto School Board officials who gender-shame students for International Day of Pink. Students and teachers were urged to wear pink shirts and asked to “practice a pronoun refresher,” meaning that teachers were to take time to reintroduce themselves to their classes using both their names and their preferred pronouns. I will tell you right now, I wouldn’t have done it. Believe it or not, our Canadian Federal government funded senior sex show in foreign countries. Good use of our tax dollars, eh? A teacher in the Toronto Catholic District School Board has bragged on social media about having a Pride flag and depictions of Jesus Christ as transgender in a prayer space in his classroom, and no, I did not make that up. Watch the news report. Is this what Catholic Schools have become? And what about the military? Evidently Drag Shows on US Military Bases were Canceled by Pentagon After Republican Criticism. Is this is what the people trained to protect our countries do? You can’t make this up. I urge you to watch the video Lord help us all! She sums up this craziness better than I can.

Let’s talk about racism craziness. Apparently the Military defines “racism” as denying you have racist beliefs. What is that supposed to mean? Well, the Canadian Armed Forces redefined being racist as anybody who believes in “equality but not equity,” or those who “refuse to engage in self-reflection and education to address their own” alleged racist beliefs. Give your head a shake for that one. Environmental activist David Suzuki equates truckers to anarchists during anti-old growth logging rally in Victoria. Suzuki labels everyday truckers, medical professionals and other concerned citizens seeking to recall B.C. premier David Eby as anarchists. I’m surprised he didn’t call them white supremacists. A University of British Columbia professor says not wearing masks is racist, ableist and classist. I’m not even commenting on that one. WATCH: NDP MP who says oil and gas is white supremacy. This Member of Parliament claims conventional oil and gas supporters promote “white supremacy.”I’m still trying to figure it out. Don’t ask me! I never said it. You cannot make this shit up.

In the world of Canadian politics, Notley kicks reporters out of a press conference after criticizing Smith for limiting media questions. Notley and Smith are opposing Alberta political leaders. I guess you can’t control the narrative if you allow reporters to do their jobs.

Did you hear that the Royal Canadian Legion criticizes decision to remove Vimy Ridge from passport design. Vimy Ridge, a monument I’ve seen, denotes the sacrifices made by World War One Canadian soldiers. It represents a defining moment in Canadian history when our soldiers taking the ridge brought recognition from the world that we were indeed a nation in our own right. Why are they removing Canadian symbols from passports? Is this another attempt to cancel culture? It is not only the passports, as Justin Trudeau’s government is to remove religious symbols from Canada’s Royal Coat of Arms. Why? Canada no longer ranks as one of freest countries in the world, despite national anthem that refers to country as ‘true north strong and free’. Proof of that is a CSIS report targets Canadians who criticize Trudeau and Health Canada. This report slights Canadians who criticized Trudeau’s policies and Health Canada’s stance on COVID as “violent extremists.” So, now critiquing the people we elect makes us “violent extremists.” That is bordering on bullying (#bullying, #antibullying). You can’t make this up.

Canada is not the same country I grew up in. We are no longer free and Trudeau has become the laughing stock of the world. Our leader makes strange decisions like when Pro-Beijing media received Canadian bailouts during pandemic. Trudeau gave two Chinese language media outlets in Canada emergency bailout funds during the pandemic. Canada is a democracy, so why are supporting communist media? That’s strange, but truth is stranger than fiction.

Let’s talk about municipal governments. A Pickering, Ontario city Councillor is under fire for proposing age limit on drag queen events. This councillor wants to restrict drag queen entertainment to those over the age of 19. Sounds like he is protecting children, so why is he being attacked? The City of Toronto reverses a decision to cancel Canada Day celebration after backlash. Since when is celebrating our country a bad thing? I don’t get it. Shouldn’t we be celebrating our country? Explain to me why we shouldn’t. Then there are the 10 Calgary councillors rebel against Mayor Gondek and demand fireworks by notice of motion. Apparently, there was a backlash against Mayor Gondek and the woke arts and culture staff who decided that fireworks is racist. Are you kidding me? Fireworks are racist. Maybe tell me what isn’t racist as everything seems to be racist nowadays. You can’t make this shit up.

Speaking of racism, Health Canada blames climate change on ‘capitalism’ and ‘white supremacy’. Yes, I had to read that twice as well. The article says academics and experts interviewed by the Public Health Agency of Canada blame capitalism and white supremacy for climate change. Experts say this? I have to wonder where these “experts” got their education. Then there is Dr. Theresa Tam who lists climate change and capitalism as drivers of negative health. Let me get this straight. The Chief Public Health Officer of Canada, Dr. Theresa Tam, has listed climate change, white supremacy, capitalism, colonialism and racism as “systemic drivers of negative health, and no, I did not make that up. I remind you that these are the people running our heath care. I don’t know about you,, but that scares me. Flashback to 1989: UN Predicted ‘Disaster’ If Global Warming Not Checked by 2000. It was 34 years ago when the UN proclaimed that, so why are we supposed to trust the science?

The English Romantic poet, Lord Byron, says, “Tis strange, -but true; for truth is always strange; Stranger than fiction…” It was Mark Twain who said, “It’s no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense.” The reality is, I can’t make this shit up because reality is just too strange.

What is Happening in Our Schools? (Part Three)

There was a time when I (#blogger #blog #somseason #YA #authors) thought I’d heard and seen it all, but clearly, I haven’t. Being a former teacher, I have always taken note of what is happening in our schools because I care about our youth. I’ve devoted most of my life working with youth, and I hope I’ve impacted their lives for the better. Seeing what’s happening in our schools is discouraging. My last two posts were about, ‘What is happening in our schools,” so here is what I’ve learned since my last blog post.

Global News talks about a Controversial West Kelowna billboard which had to be taken down. The billboard reads: What are your kids really learning in school? That is a question all parents should be asking. A Fox News article, A message from parents to schools — stop sexualizing our kids, says:

In recent months, parents have grown more and more upset by curricular content within public schools, demanding changes for the sake of their children. While their concerns include issues like critical race theory, they have also expressed outrage at sexually explicit materials in schools, easily accessible by young children…Schools have moved beyond the initial boundaries of “sex education” to ask our children for intimate details about their lives, making it seem as if young teenagers and even children should have sex.

Parents are outraged here in Canada like in the United States. Schools seem to be presenting sex as a normal thing for children. Why are schools doing this? I discuss one possible reason in my last post. Many argue that it is Christians and conservatives that oppose sexually explicit materials in schools, but, Muslims, Christians and Sikhs protest against the sexual indoctrination of kids in BC schools. Yet, school boards try to silence concerned parents as, Ottawa school trustees shut down parent critical of trans policy. Parents are being bullied. (#bullying, #antibullying)! The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (The Charter) says Canadians have freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression… Based on what I’ve observed, ‘The Charter’ is a spineless document. This is why the National Post says, Canada was designed as a free country, but no longer is, so even Mainstream Media admits Canada is no longer a free country.

Even more disturbing is a School board in B.C. collecting photo ID, personal data of concerned parents. As I said in my previous post, Big Brother is watching you. Watch Tucker Carlson’s interview a Canadian Catholic school student arrested for saying men and women are different.

Then there are the B.C. child educators who will soon be learning how to ‘decolonize’ daycares and implement ‘gender-diverse’ curriculums. The article speaks of instruction being given to early childhood educators on how to use “intentional language to better include gender diverse children” saying these children are “worthy of being embraced and celebrated.” These public policies and training practices are being given to daycare workers who work with preschoolers; children 6 or younger. Do these children even know what gender is? I doubt it. This is indoctrination, the repeating of an idea or belief to someone until they accept it without criticism or question. Then there is the Ontario school board that focuses on divisive woke race-based hiring.

Watch this video of a school board that cuts off a Mother, only to have her son step in to point out the hypocritical board policy. This student explains that if he tries to google an “inappropriate” website he is immediately flagged, yet he can walk into his school library and find sexually explicit materials. That is hypocrisy! If you’re going to have sexually explicit materials available in school libraries, then allow students to access porn sites. Please understand, I am not advocating for that. I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy of these policies. Canada’s insanity is making world news as Tucker CANNOT believe what the school did to this girl after she made the wrong complaint. This girl was suspended for complaining about a trans person-with male genitalia-in the girl’s change room. As Mark Twain once said, “Truth is stranger than fiction.” Listen to Tuckers interview. It is eye opening.

Another controversy schools will face in the not so distant future is the use of ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence (AI) writing tools that can generate humanlike stories, essays, poems and other written forms, according to the opinion piece, Educators: why not embrace artificial intelligence writing tools. Let’s make cheating even easier, why don’t we? This will become an educator’s nightmare, but there are those who like this technology as a mother whose teen son struggles with a learning disability urged him to turn in an essay written by ChatGPT. I am so grateful I don’t have to deal with AI technologies.

Many Canadians believe critical race theory (CRT) isn’t prevalent in Canadian schools, falsely believing critical race theory is just an American issue. The article, Critical Race Theory In Canadian Schools, suggests otherwise. I touched on CRT in schools in my previous post. What is CRT all about? The article, What Is Critical Race Theory? describes CRT as a “way of thinking about America’s history through race,” and it focusses on the idea that racism is systemic in a country’s institutions. This theory argues that a country’s institutions work to keep white people in a powerful position. Those against CRT say it is trying to rewrite American history, and tells white people that they are innately racist, and should feel guilty because of their white privilege. Those in favour of CRT argue that students get an incorrect picture of American history without this curriculum, and that it is damaging for students to think that racism, discrimination, and past injustices have no affect on society today.

You’re likely wondering what I think as a former educator. CRT should not be taught in our schools. The problem with CRT is it focuses on what divides us—our differences—instead of what we have in common. No matter what a person’s beliefs, skin colour, or culture is, we are all united as humans. We need to focus on what unites and not what divides us. You may not think my view as worth much being I belong to the “privileged race,” so listen to what this African American says about CRT. He speaks truth.

CRT is indoctrination, and as the gentleman in the video says, it “keeps racism alive.” The Association for Psychological Science says, Young Children Are Especially Trusting of Things They’re Told. “Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth” is a law of propaganda which is often attributed to Joseph Goebbels who was Hitler’s Reich Minister of Propaganda. Watch the video of Black ELEMENTARY Students Forcing White Kids To Pledge that black lives matter. That is what happens when kids become indoctrinated by CRT.

I’ll reiterate what a censured teacher said in an interview with the National Post who said, “Teaching is now a political act that involves indoctrinating children instead of educating them. There’s a lot of reason to be afraid. We are in a kind of cultural revolution and people really do need to pay attention.”

This insanity isn’t just affecting our schools. Parents are furious about ‘naked man’ entering a girls’ locker room in a Calgary swimming pool. I wrote about this in my last post. Then there is the Storytime drag protester to spend weeks in custody. This is a story about a Calgary man who protested a drag show geared towards kids who was denied bail after refusing to distance himself from future shows and drag performers. These protests prompted the mayor to outlaw protests by increasing enforcement at Calgary city hall. This new law prompted Calgary cops to plot to grab anti-drag protester. The Charter says Canadians have freedom of peaceful assembly and freedom of association, but that’s only if you have the “right” viewpoint. In the province of Saskatchewan, there’s Steadfast support of Saskatoon’s trans community at a city council discussion. Saskatoon’s city council chambers were filled to capacity when people came to speak on the topic of public change room access for trans people. Listen to the video where an 11-year-old expresses fears about the policy.

Ontario considering banning TikTok in public schools. This is not a bad policy as the app has consequences for children. There are concerns about potential data breaches, and for the mental and physical health of children. The article refers to a survey that says many young Canadians believe excessive use of social media negatively impacts children’s mental health. Why just target TikTok? What about other social media platforms?

American Politician, Tom Allen said, “I think we have a moral obligation to our children that can be easily summarized: number one, protect them from harm.” Kids are being harmed with these absurd policies. As I said in my last blog post, “leave them kids alone.”

What is Happening in Our Schools? (Part two)

When I wrote (#blogger #blog #somseason #YA #authors) What is Happening to Our Schools? I thought our schools couldn’t get any worse, but it turns out I’m wrong. The school insanity continues.

When I began teaching in my first school, I was told there was a dress code for teachers which meant male teachers had to wear a tie. My, how things have changed. In September of 2022 a Canadian school backed trans teacher with giant prosthetic breasts, with the stance they’re protecting “gender rights.” It seems anything goes nowadays, including males wearing prosthetic breasts. I would have been fired, and likely put into a mental institution, if I’d pulled such a stunt. Ironically, now it is being reported that this Trans teacher with Z-size prosthetic breasts dresses as man outside of school. One would think if you sincerely want to be a female, you would dress like one on all occasions. Even more insane is A British Columbia secondary school is promoting a workshop for students between 14-year-olds to 19-year-olds on how to access “gender affirming care. Now we’re teaching kids how to change genders.

We Canadians think we live in a country where there is freedom of speech, but that is an illusion. A Canadian Student was Kicked Out of Catholic School for Expressing Biblical Beliefs on Gender. You can say what you want if it agrees with authorities, but the reality is Big Brother is watching you. In case you don’t know, the phrase ‘Big Brother Is Watching You’ comes from the novel 1984 by George Orwell, a novel I studied in high school. It has since become a phrase that refers to threats of government scrutiny.

Watch the news cast about a High School that Orders Removal Of All Urinals In The Name Of Gender Equity. These school board believes All-gender washrooms are a big sign of inclusion in these Canadian schools. Do students support this? Not all of them as Students protest multiple ‘gender neutral’ bathrooms at Alberta high school. My great niece attends one of these schools with ‘gender neutral’ washrooms, and she avoids going to the washroom all day because of fear of meeting boys there. That signals there’s a problem with ‘gender neutral’ washrooms.

I just read about a Parent furious a transgendered men was allowed into girls’ changing room at Calgary pools. Is this what is happening in our schools? If the school has gender neutral washrooms, it is happening. Watch the video below about a student who leaves woke school board SPEECHLESS. This kid is amazing! He reveals truth. This grade 11 student tells about his experience in school and why he is changing schools.

You can also watch it on Rumble should censorship happen. The censorship going on is not only about gender, but it’s also about racism as Anti-Anglophone “Wokeness” Dominates Canada’s Education System. Being a white (Caucasian) is a bad thing now. Then there is the pronoun confusion. The pronoun thing confuses the hell out of me, so I’m sure our young people are confused too. The video is about a middle school student in the United States being charged with sexual harassment because he refused to use pronouns. This is bullying (#bullying, #antibullying)! and it’s not only happening in Canada.

I recently read that Dr. Seuss was re-classified as adult fiction, gets “racism” complaints: Ottawa Public Library. The thing about our schools is books are being censored because they are deemed as racist, yet a Canadian dad feels the need to rip school board for sexually explicit book available to young children, gender policies. Watch this 11-year-old SILENCE a School Board as he reads from a sexually explicit book found in his school library. You can also watch it here. If you’re a parent, ask why: Are These 7 LGBT ‘Kids’ Books in Your Child’s Classroom or School Library? A Father exposes child grooming books in Canadian schools. Is this what is happening? Are our children being groomed? The article suggests sexually explicit books are being used as tools by predators to aid them in child grooming. Are people trying to normalize pedophilia? If you’re a parent or grandparent, read this article. It’s alarming to think this may be why these types of books are showing up in school libraries.

As far as I’m concerned, our school system is warping the minds of our children. We are confusing kids about gender and teaching them to be racist. That is what Critical Race Theory does in my view, and many others agree. Is there an agenda? You bet. ‘A lot of reason to be afraid,’ says censured teacher critical of the woke revolution in classrooms. In an Interview with the National Post, this teacher said, “Teaching is now a political act that involves indoctrinating children instead of educating them. There’s a lot of reason to be afraid. We are in a kind of cultural revolution and people really do need to pay attention.”

In a February state of the nation speech, Russia’s President Putin said Western nations are trying to “‘distract people’s attention’ from corruption scandals … from economic-social problems…Look at what they do to their own people: the destruction of families, of cultural and national identities and the perversion that is child abuse all the way up to pedophilia, are advertised as the norm … and priests are forced to bless same-sex marriages.” Mainstream Media (MM) maintains Russia is our enemy, but are they? If you have been reading my blogs in past years, you know what I think of the MM. Is Putin merely trying to warn us about the insanity in our Western world?

Here are some other ridiculous things happening in our schools. A N.S. school fires coach after he makes late team members run exercises. When I was teaching, kids were taught to be responsible to their team, and there were consequences for being late. Is that no longer the case? Seems so. School boards placing equity lens as priority even for tree pruning jobs. Equity means staff should reflect the “diversity of the community.” The article states, “It used to be…that prospective employers were not permitted to ask or discriminate against candidates based on age, sexuality, religion and any other personal details that really have nothing to do with one’s ability to perform a particular job. That was when one’s ability to nab a job was based on merit.” I guess ability to do a job doesn’t matter anymore. Human rights are protected for transgender people, but not for those who belong to a majority ethnic group.

Then there is the Canadian school board who votes to terminate teacher who dared to teach truths about Residential School deaths. You’re not allowed to have an opinion or speak truth anymore. It makes people too uncomfortable. “Truth is only visible to those who are able to question everything that they have been taught to believe.” I don’t know who said that, but he or she is bang on. People don’t want to hear truth. It seems Youngsters are becoming infected with adult climate cult hysteria, govt data shows. Let’s panic our youth more. No wonder teachers don’t want to teach anymore. I personally know of a few. It’s why Ontario school boards are hiring uncertified emergency staff.

Yet another survey shows people think things are broken in Canada. This survey says 65% of Canadians agree it feels like many things in Canada are broken. That means 65% are willing to admit something is wrong in Canada. The fact is, all our institutions—schools, government, judicial system, religious institutions and many others—are broken. Things are broken in Canada, and not just in Canada. All of North America and the Western world are broken. As a veteran teacher of 35 years, I find what is happening in our schools very upsetting. I’m happy I am no longer teaching or have children in school. If you’re a parent, or grandparent, you need to pay attention to what’s happening in our schools. Are our children being indoctrinated to think a certain way? Are you okay with that? As a former teacher, I know how easy it is to influence young people, and persuasion can be used for both good or evil. To quote the Pink Floyd song, Another Brick In the Wall, I bet many kids are saying, “Hey, teacher, leave us kids alone.” I say, “leave them kids alone.”

What is Happening to Our Schools?

Those of you who read my (#blogger #blog #somseason #YA #authors) blog know that I am a retired school teacher. Over the years, I’ve participated in and supervised many school events that were fun and brought joy to students. We’ve just had Valentine’s Day, and at one of the schools I taught at the High School Student Council would organize events like sending a flower, along with a message, to their boyfriends or girlfriends, to someone they secretly liked, or to someone they admired. Even I received a flower on occasion. This tradition made people feel special and appreciated. I always thought it was a wonderful activity, so you can imagine how shocked I was to read about an Ontario school who banned Valentine’s Day. What is so wrong with Valentine’s Day? It’s a day of tradition where one’s beloved is honoured. Their reasons for prohibiting this day are lame to say the least.

Then there is the BC elementary school cancels Mother’s Day, introduces ‘The Grownups Who Love Us Day’. Why are they trying to erase motherhood and fatherhood from our culture? The school’s reasoning behind the name change is so that all students can feel included in card-making. They claim students with one parent or with a deceased parent are excluded. I went to school with classmates whose mother or father had passed away. It wasn’t an issue then, so why now?

Then there is the New Brunswick (NB) school that silences Oh Canada, Canada’s National Anthem. That’s insanity. NB is a province in Canada. Apparently, Oh Canada is no longer a daily morning event at Belleisle Elementary as the school’s principal dropped it to accommodate parents who didn’t want their children taking part singing the anthem. The principal wouldn’t say why the parents objected to their kids taking part, citing privacy reasons. I guess the “squeaky wheel gets the grease.” The trend nowadays is if something offends just one person, you ban it. As American conservative political commentator, Rush Limbaugh says, “It’s impossible to go through life not offending people. All you have to do is basically have an opinion on anything, and you’re gonna offend people,” or as English-born American political activist, Thomas Paine said, “He who dares not offend cannot be honest.” Stop banning things for a few whiners.

Something is terribly wrong. It seems our schools are becoming places where fun and tradition are banned, but some things schools are doing border on craziness. A Hamilton high school students fired from a hospital co-op placement over “OK” hand gesture. The student’s employer alleged that an “OK” hand gesture she made in a social media photo was a symbol of white supremacy. What? It usually denotes approval, agreement, and all is well or “okay.” Who decided it was a hate symbol? The best one yet is Math now racist according to Ontario court. Say what? Apparently Math Proficiency Tests are “unconstitutional” as it impairs non-white teacher candidates. I’m baffled! Ban proficiency tests, because they’re unfair to immigrant teachers, and allow the quality of teachers to decrease. Seems logical. I’m being sarcastic of course.

Spirit days were huge in the schools I worked in. We had crazy hair days, pajama days, crazy hat days, dress as your hero days, formal dress day, to name a few. They were fun for both teachers and students. Yet, an Ontario school board bans spirit days, wacky hair days for woke reasons. You see, fun days are banned because the school board claims spirit days need to be reimagined because many are racist, ableist (discrimination based on disability), exclusionary and push colonialism. Pardon me? Are they saying crazy hair days are racist or exclusionary? I guess the bald students are excluded, but in my 35 years of teaching, I never taught a student without hair. I worked with colleagues who lacked hair though. Forbidding kids to have fun in school is bullying (#bullying, #antibullying) plain and simple.

A University lecturer is disciplined for wearing Indigenous costume as teaching aid. Yes, you read that correctly. The professor dressed up as an Indigenous person because he was discussing a book about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. He says he dressed up as an Indigenous person to get his students’ attention, and had reportedly worn other costumes in the weeks leading up to this incident while teaching other lessons. His behaviour was deemed inappropriate although the article fails to say how it’s inappropriate. I guess creative teaching is banned. No wonder students are bored. Then there is the Ontario teacher who is allowed to keep license after criticizing WOKE ideology, but we live in a country where free speech is allowed, right?

Where things really get bizarre are the positions taken by authorities regarding sex education and gender issues. Take for example the Waterloo school board trying to obliterate debate over sexualized children’s books. The board decided not to post the video of a controversial public meeting where a long-serving teacher was cut off for questioning the value of two highly sexualized children’s books in school libraries. Another School Board cuts mom’s mic for reading GRAPHIC assignment given to daughter. I guess it’s okay for 15-year-olds to read these assignments but inappropriate for a mother to read it to the School Board whiling expressing her horror. You can’t make this stuff up, folks.

Then there is the Ottawa school board gender guide that says teachers can’t question washroom preferences. The board orders teachers to accommodate students who wish to use the opposite sex’s change rooms, affirming that “self-identification” is the only determinant of a student’s gender. When I was in school, students were disciplined for going into the opposite sex’s washrooms. I guess it’s okay in today’s schools. Most disturbing is the Masturbation homework given to B.C. junior kindergarten students. Yes, you read that right; kindergarten students. Kindergarten students are as young as 4 years old. The teacher sent home a masturbation worksheet taken from a guide called “Body Smart: Right From the Start.” When I was teaching, we would have been severely reprimanded, if not fired, for doing such a thing.

Then there is the university Professor who says let’s ditch the term pedophile for ‘minor-attracted person’. I have nothing to say about that, except to quote author Mike Lew who said, “The rape of a child is a violent act of contempt, not an expression of sexuality or affection.”

Edmonton, an Alberta city, is embedding “anti-racism” into the kindergarten-to-grade 6 curriculum, as explained in the news article, Edmonton to teach kindergarteners “anti-racism” curriculum. Critical Race Theory (CRT) is controversial to say the least, and that’s a whole other blog post. True North columnist Sue-Ann Levy says, “School boards…are already trying to indoctrinate kids as young as kindergarten with this very dangerous CRT philosophy, which is divisive and racist in its selectivity.” I couldn’t agree more. CRT is indoctrination.

The National Post columnist, Rex Murphy: Toronto school board takes lunacy to a whole new level. He talks of a Toronto School board who is contemplating censoring a Jewish trustee who complained about anti-Semitic materials. What is there to say about that? I guess it is okay to have students read anti-Semitic books as well as sexualized children’s books.

A new Leger poll reveals reports that Canadians agree with Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre that Canada is broken. The poll says 67% of Canadians agree with the statement made by a Canadian politician who stated that “it feels like everything is broken in this country right now”. I have to agree! Canada’s schools certainly are broken. American football player, Justin James (J.J) Watt, said, “What I remember most about high school are the memories I created with my friends.” I guarantee you those memories were not teacher lessons. Memories came from fun. Stop taking the fun out of schools. Stop this madness!

Truth Always Prevails

Author Ulpian Fulwell wrote, “Truth in the end shall prevail.” I (#blogger #blog #somseason #YA #authors) believe that. The problem is, what is truth? There are those who say truth is ever changing, never static or absolute, and what we consider to be truth today may be proven a lie tomorrow. There are those who claim that at least some truth is absolute truth, or some truths are universal and unalterable. I think both are true depending on the truth, but it can be confusing. For me personally, I trust my heart. If it feels true, I accept that. If it feels false, I accept that too. In other words, I follow my intuition.

Author Llewellyn Rockwell once wrote, “We like to imagine that in history, truth will prevail through sheer persuasive power. Sadly, this is not the case. Truth needs champions …” Truth does need champions (sometimes referred to as ‘truthers’) as we humans are easily manipulated, programmed and mind controlled. Joseph Goebbels, a German Nazi politician who became Reich Minister of Propaganda, once said:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

That is a frightening thought. Could this be happening? Are truths being told really lies? For this post, when I speak of truth, I am referring to the ever changing “truths” told to us by our politicians, the mainstream media (MSM) and health officials. Let’s start with politicians.

Canada’s Parliament drops investigation into woman who stood on War Memorial tomb, a committee investigation into a highly publicized incident of a woman who allegedly climbed atop the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during the Freedom Convoy protests in Ottawa. Funny how no reason was provided for discontinuing the committee hearings. Was the story a lie? Was it an attempt to discredit the protesters? That’s my guess. Trudeau’s national security adviser says Freedom Convoy planned to ‘overthrow the government’, another lie since the Freedom Convoy’s spokesperson stated on Fox News that “We want to get rid of the vaccine mandates and the (vaccine) passports. And that passport, that’s the really concerning one” (see Independent). Even MSM’s, The Globe and Mail says, Trudeau and Ford’s use of emergency legislation was pure show business. Actress Felicity Kendal says, “There is one sure way of telling when politicians aren’t telling the truth – their lips move.” That says it all.

What about the health officials? Are they telling truths? Alberta Health admits they manipulated ICU numbers. The CDC admits COVID-19 isn’t a threat to the vast majority of people. CDC Scientists admit they did manipulate study data to show the Covid-19 Vaccines are safe for Pregnant Women. This was an obvious attempt to mislead as researchers discover 91% of pregnancies resulted in miscarriage following Covid-19 Vaccination. Health Officials Admit COVID Numbers Were Inflated As They Cover Up Vaccine Injuries, and a Fired ER Doctor Tells RFK, Jr. ‘We Just Bowed Down’ Instead of Practicing Science. A Nurse claims Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s COVID-19 vaccination was faked, points out red flags. Watch her video. It seems we are being deceived by health officials.

Even MSM, especially Canada’s National Broadcaster, admit to lying. MSM’s Toronto Sun says More falsehoods about the convoy are now being retracted. CBC issues second retraction on their convoy coverage, retracting the story by the CBC that foreigners—the Russians—had played a major role in the Freedom Convoy protest, and that the Convoy protest received hundreds of donations that appeared to be from abroad. Both stories were blatant lies. Here are 5 Ways The Establishment—aka MSM—Tried To Rewrite The History Of Freedom Convoy 2022. The MSM protects politicians as Canadian Media Cover-Up International Condemnation Of Justin Trudeau. Regarding the alleged pandemic, the CBC apologizes for using fake patients and training facility in COVID-19 story, another lie. The CBC forced to pay $1.95 million in libel case as court finds it “failed in its duty to be fair, balanced and responsible,” as reported by the CBC. This explains why CBC viewership hits record lows as subsidies hit record highs, The CBC’s ad revenue problem continues, and why the CBC wants to know why young people aren’t watching their programs. People are even leaving as CBC producer quits, slams woke broadcaster for failing to cover issues important to Canadians, and Tara Henley explains, Why I quit the CBC in the National Post. We see this in other companies as a Former Global News employee Anita Krishna speaks out about COVID-19 narrative. Yet, Canada’s government is pouring money into the CBC as Liberals move to ‘modernize’ CBC, making public broadcaster less reliant on advertising, plus CBC salaries include 125 senior directors earning up to $186,000 each. Something is wrong with this picture when truths are not being reported!

It’s interesting how the Covid narrative disappeared almost overnight when Russia entered the Ukraine. Now the MSM narrative is “Putin is evil,” and it’s terrible what he’s doing in the Ukraine, but be wary of what you’re being shown and told by the MSM. Powerful deep narratives control us. We’re shown something one way, when there is usually something much deeper going on behind the scenes, intentionally hidden from us. There is a reason for everything media says and shows. There are many countries experiencing worse things than the Ukraine, but we’re not being told about them. We are only shown what they want us to see, and it’s often faked. We are only told what they want us to hear. Everything is designed to control and manipulate us. There are those who think I talk craziness, so consider this. MSM says Russia’s wild theories about secret bio-labs and ‘crisis actors’ in Ukraine are crafted to appeal to US conspiracists, experts say, yet the U.S. Confirms there are Biolabs In Ukraine. Listen to what Tucker Carlson says in the video The Pentagon is lying about biolabs in Ukraine. Only one of these narratives are true.

There are worse things occurring in the African country of Yemen, as opposed to the Ukraine. According to Countries Currently At War 2022, the Yemeni Civil War began in September 2014 and continues today. Saudi Arabia intervened in the conflict and there have been more than 140,000 fatalities since the start of the war, including nearly 20,000 in 2020 alone. A great number of these are children. According to 10 Countries Facing Humanitarian Crises in 2020, Venezuelans and 9 others need humanitarian assistance right now. Why aren’t we hearing about these on the MSM?

Why did Freeland’s office “pressure” legacy media to change critical stories? and why did Trudeau announce millions of dollars to attack news agencies he doesn’t like.? Are governments and the MSM trying to create a narrative to manipulate the masses? There is much evidence that what is shown on the daily news is faked. Don’t believe me. Also, observe the body bag on the left in this news clip MSM Fake News (body bags). This video is yet Another example of disinformation about the Ukraine War. We are only given what they want us to see.

Why would media do this? Some argue that the MSM, or television in general, puts people in a hypnotic state. According to How To Override Hypnosis In The Media :

Hypnosis is a state of mind in which you suspend your normal analytical thinking, and place yourself in an open, accepting frame of mind. In this state, you find it easier to accept ideas that you normally wouldn’t.

The article, How Hypnotists (and Mass Media) Hack Your Mind to Control Your Behavior says:

Those who regularly watch news on the television, which is well-known to rapidly induce alpha brain wave states in the viewer, bringing them into a hypnotic trance automatically, typically affecting the function of the frontal lobe within an astonishing 90 seconds, and bypassing critical thinking.

According to the article, How TV influences your mind through hypnosis:

Your mind slips into the hypnotic trance state within seconds of watching TV. This lowers your brainwaves to a lower ‘alpha state’ commonly associated with meditation and deep relaxation. This is believed to be caused by the screen flicker and explains why you feel sleepy while watching TV.

Is media hypnotizing its viewers? Was the Covid narrative for the past two years to keep its viewers in a hypnotic fearful state? Are they presently hypnotizing us to think of Russians as demons? People are catching on? Poll shows trust in media, government at all-time low. In another poll published in the National Post, it shows trust for Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief public health officer eroded either a little or a lot among 46 per cent of Canadians. And for provincial public health institutions, led by the chief medical officers, almost half of Canadians (49%) saying they had lost trust in them. Trust goes down the drain when authority figures mislead and lie (#bullying, #antibullying). Truth is prevailing!

This is Stupid

In the video Pilot Has A Message For Canadians, the pilot speaks of a “disaster averting, lifesaving phrase: ‘this is stupid’” used in the aviation world. He tells of a deadly aviation disaster involving two 747s. He says even though a first officer expressed concern, the disaster still happened because “of complacency, deferring to authority and not wanting to rock the boat by questioning.” The phrase “this is stupid” or “this is dangerous” would have awoke the pilot of danger. He goes on to say that our government presently “has their throttle jammed full forward in a race for totalitarian control,” and the “voice inside you is saying ‘this is stupid,‘ ‘this is dangerous,’ and ‘this is wrong.’” He says, “your voice is useless if you stay silent,” so “you have to summon the courage to say no.” Since 2020, I’ve been saying “something is wrong.” The truth is, Canada and the world are at a critical point. DO WE WANT TO LIVE IN A FREE WORLD OR NOT?

Trudeau has never bothered to speak to the protestors. Instead, he declared an emergency while still debating the Emergencies Act in Parliament. In fact, the House of Commons suspends debate on Emergencies Act ahead of police operation against Freedom Convoy. This act has not received approval of the Canadian Senate or Royal Assent. On February 13, a MSM’s New York Post headline said, Canada PM Justin Trudeau slammed for invoking emergency powers to stop protests.

Multiple Canadian premiers oppose Trudeau invoking Emergencies Act. Trudeau is condemned around the world for moving to crush protests. Some headlines were blunt as in Trudeau Invokes the Emergencies Act (aka Martial Law) in Canada … For a Bunch of Truckers. Independent media says Trudeau is marching Canada down a dark path. Billionaire, Elon Musk draws ire for comparing Trudeau to Hitler. An editorial piece in the NY Times called out Trudeau for backing a protest by farmers in India that clogged major roads in New Delhi while attacking his own citizens for a peaceful protest that has blocked roads in Ottawa. American podcaster, Dan Bongino says “Canada’s Dictator Declares War On Freedom” (see Dan Bongino Show). This is a war on our freedoms. Declaring an emergency when there is no emergency is extreme bullying (#bullying, #antibullying).

Trudeau said when announcing this emergency:

We’re entering the third week of illegal blockades that have been disrupting the lives of too many Canadians. Here in our capital city, families and small businesses have been enduring illegal obstruction of their neighbourhoods. Occupying streets, harassing people, breaking the law: this is not a peaceful protest. At the borders in different places in the country, the blockades are harming our economy and endangering public safety.

Former Prime Minister Steven Harper said in 2005, “When a government start trying to cancel dissent or avoid dissent is when it’s rapidly losing its moral authority to govern.” Trudeau has lost the moral authority to govern.

The National Post’s Rex Murphy: Trudeau’s monumentally misguided emergency measures are an insult to Canadians says:

Here’s the mother of all questions for Trudeau and it is one that he cannot, and will never, answer: what was so difficult about having a talk with the leaders of a group of Canadians who found some of the government’s COVID regulations to be a grievous burden? When Black Lives Matter [a terrorist organization] flooded the streets, Trudeau not only met with them, he went into the streets and joined in on the their American-inspired protest. He gave them a knee and bowed his head. But he would not meet with the truckers. He would not talk to their representatives. There was certainly no kneeling.

Here is some history around this act. The Canadian Encyclopedia, says, when the First World War began (1914), the Canadian government passed the War Measures Act (WMA), giving the cabinet sweeping emergency powers. This Act gave the government full authority during wartime to censor and suppress communications; to arrest, detain and deport people without charges or trials; to control the economy; and to seize private property. Most controversial is the WMA enabled the government to intern “enemy aliens” on the suspicion they posed a threat to Canada’s safety. About 600 Italian Canadians and 800 German Canadians were interned during the war, along with Jewish refugees and Mennonites .

During the Second World War (1939), the WMA was again invoked resulting in approximately 22,000 Japanese Canadians on the West Coast being interned in remote areas of interior British Columbia. The WMA enabled the government to strip Japanese Canadians of their property and pressure them to accept mass deportation when the war ended. I led many classroom discussions about the Japanese Internment, and students typically felt it was a violation of Japanese Canadian’s civil liberties.

In 1970, the WMA was invoked because of the October Crisis. A state of “apprehended insurrection” was officially declared to exist in Quebec in October of 1970, as a response to two kidnappings by the terrorist group Front de Libération du Québec (FLQ). This emergency enabled police to conduct more than 3,000 searches without a warrant and detain 497 people. The suspension of civil liberties in Quebec was controversial. I remember as a kid being confused about the controversy as many Canadians were angered at their loss of civil liberties.

In 1988, the WMA was amended to the Emergencies Act. This act defines a national emergency as an urgent, temporary and critical situation that seriously endangers the health and safety of Canadians or that seriously threatens the ability of the Government of Canada to preserve the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Canada. When invoked, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (Charter) continues to protect individual rights. The Government MUST respect constitutionally protected rights and freedoms (see Emergencies Act).

Canada’s Charter specifically says, “Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms: (a) freedom of conscience and religion; (b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion, and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication; (c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and (d) freedom of association.”

Most Canadians feel the use of Emergencies Act is illegal because a peaceful protest is no emergency. MSM’s National Post headlines, ‘Legal standard not met’: Two court challenges filed over Trudeau’s use of Emergencies Act. Ironically, Canada issued a harsh condemnation of the Cuban government’s sentencing of protesters who participated in anti-government rallies last July.

On February 18, in the once free country of Canada, Ottawa police arrest dozens of protesters, and start towing rigs, and Ottawa Police threaten media with arrest for covering enforcement against peaceful protesters. Independent Media, Rebel News journalist Alexa Lavoie attacked by Ottawa police. Watch how RCMP Trample Elderly Lady With Horses. Watch how police use force. The MSM’s National Post says This must be what Ottawa police meant by methods not usually seen in Canada. Look at the article’s disturbing pictures. Watch police damaging personal property in this video.

Watch the Fox News video: Tucker Carlson’s view of Ottawa events. What occurred is “state sanctioned violence.” CBC reports Emergencies Act directs financial institutions to freeze accounts linked to convoy protests. Trudeau gives BLM money while seizing the bank accounts of peaceful protesters. An Ottawa Bakery is facing threats and harassment over leaked convoy donation. Independent media reports that Ottawa may euthanize truckers’ pets as punishment. Trudeau’s justice minister, David Lametti says Trump supporters should be worried. Why? Trump merely endorsed the Truck Convoy.

Sadly, there are still Canadians who think this is about a virus. As an emotional Calgary police officer said after seeing what happened in Ottawa, “Canada has fallen.” This is about our government wanting totalitarian control over us. This is about the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset. Here is what Alberta’s premier said about the Great Reset.

Are we free when peaceful protestors are ignored, and arrested for demanding freedom, when bank accounts are being frozen for supporting freedom fighters, when threats to harm family pets are made, and businesses supporting freedom are harassed? If you think this is okay, you are NOT thinking for yourself. If you go to your heart, you know this is wrong; that this is stupid. You’d know this is a sad day for Canada.

I am still a proud Canadian, but I am ashamed of my government. Shame on a government who resorts to police action instead of peaceful dialogue with the protesters, and for the parliamentarians who voted to suspend parliament. I am ashamed of those enforcement officers conducting arrests in their riot gear and carrying automatic weapons. Shame on them for breaking the oath to serve and protect. I am ashamed of tow truck operators participating in this police action. Shame on you for wearing neon-green ski masks, with your companies’ decals taped over to conceal your identities. I am ashamed of the MSM. Shame on you for reporting a peaceful protest as a ‘nationwide insurrection” (see Business Insider).

This is NOT the country I grew up in. I no longer live in a free and democratic country. We are now living under a fascist dictatorship. That may make some uncomfortable, but that is because of cognitive dissonance. No matter what you believe, if you listen to your heart, you’d know this is stupid!

Something Astonishing is Happening

The Freedom Truck Convoy and protest happening in my country has captivated me (#blogger #blog #somseason #YA #authors). I can’t stop watching what is going on. I pondered why, and for the first time in over two years I feel proud to be Canadian again. I have read numerous posts and comments of fellow Canadians saying the same thing. Canadians are raising money in support of the truckers, presently over 10 million dollars. Despite what mainstream media (MSM) says, truckers are respectful. Canadians are showing their gratitude with food, gift cards, coffee, and greeting truckers enthusiastically when they drove by their cities and towns. See for yourself.

Historians and writers consider the Canadian victory at Vimy Ridge a defining moment for Canada. In April 1917, during the first World War (WWI), the Canadian Corps seized Vimy Ridge, a heavily-fortified seven-kilometre ridge in northern France which held a impressive view over the Allied lines. With this victory, Canada emerged from under the shadow of Britain, recognized as a country in its own right.

Once again, the world is recognizing Canadians. This time it is the Freedom Truck Convoy and their massive protest in Ottawa, Canada’s capital city. On January 26th, Justin Trudeau said this about the Freedom Convoy:

“The small fringe minority of people are on their way to Ottawa, who are holding unacceptable views that they’re expressing, do not represent the views of Canadians who have been there for each other.”

Ottawa Police report aprox 2.3 million people on foot and 130,000 trucks in the city. That is no “small fringe minority of people.” I heard one of the truckers speak at Saturday’s protest saying Canada has never been a unified country until now. Gathered in Ottawa are anglophones, francophones, people of all religions, many ethnic groups, vaccinated and unvaccinated all united to end EVERY government imposed restriction and to take back their rights and freedoms. Trudeau claims the truckers “do not represent the views of Canadians,“ a lie, as the vast majority of Canadians support the truckers. Poll shows majority of Canadians now want COVID restrictions to end. A Toronto Sun editorial says It’s time to end COVID rules in Canada. Much of the world is removing restrictions as MSM’s ABC News reports in, ‘Take back life’: More nations ease coronavirus restrictions. Even the WHO Warns Against Repeated Booster Shots and Vaccine Mandates: ‘It’s Over, People’. There is no need for mandates. MSM’s National Post says Mandatory vaccination a betrayal of what Canada stands for.

The National Post, part of MSM reported on January 29, Thousands pack Parliament Hill for protest, really millions according to Ottawa police. The same day there were trucker convoys and protests held at the various provincial legislatures and in Canadian cities, such as Edmonton trucker convoy turns into massive rally against mandates.

High profile Celebrities are supporting the Truckers for Freedom Convoy. Canadians unintentionally initiated a worldwide movement. The convoy is gaining international attention. Many countries were inspired by Canada to start their own convoys as reported in European and Australian truckers are joining the Freedom Convoy! and Truckers inspired by Canada begin ‘freedom’ convoys around the world. I have seen posts of convoys in Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Brazil, United Kingdom, US, Finland, Czech Republic, Australia to name a few. In 1917, the world was inspired by the Canadian WWI soldiers who fought for freedom, and now 105 years later, the world is once again inspired by Canadians fighting for freedoms. No surprise to me, MSM and politicians attempt to mislead the public. When the truck convoy for freedom began, Canada’s CBC said Truckers protest dangerous conditions on B.C. highways, a blatant lie. Canadians didn’t buy that, so the CBC reported that it was a protest against vaccine mandates for truck drivers as in this article, Ottawa police prepare as convoy protesting vaccine mandate heads to nation’s capital. This article insinuated that the truckers might damage infrastructure, become violent, and spew statements of hatred, xenophobia, and racism to those who disagree with them. Independent Media called them out on this lie saying They tried calling truckers racist and sexist. It didn’t work. So now they’re calling them violent. Even the MSM’s Toronto Sun says Media’s handling of trucker convoy one-sided, inflammatory, shameful. Thankfully, Media is being EXPOSED for misleading Canadians. This video clearly shows how the MSM manipulates the truth. So please reject Establishment Media Attempts To Demonize Canadian Truckers, an opinion piece by Spencer Fernando. The protestors have said from the beginning that it was a peaceful protest to demand that all pandemic-related measures end.

This protest is about freedom, and was from its inception. Protestors are demanding their civil and Charter rights be returned; rights such as the right to fully open their businesses, the right to keep their medical records private, the right to choose what medical treatments they receive, mobility rights returned—unvaccinated are forbidden to fly, and the right to be treated equally as guaranteed in the Charter of Rights and Freedom. Until recently, unvaccinated Canadians were discriminated against as Quebec health tax for unvaccinated residents prompts fierce Covid debate, but one example.

MSM and government leaders continue to spread lies and try to discredit the movement. Trudeau calls convoy truckers “tinfoil hats,” says he will not meet with organizers saying:

“Freedom of expression, assembly and association are cornerstones of democracy, but Nazi symbolism, racist imagery, and desecration of war memorials are not.”

Opposition members are calling Trudeau on his rhetoric as Conservative Party (CP) member, Pierre Poilievre, did in his response to Trudeau. Politicians are even calling out government lies. Poilievre calls former Liberal cabinet minister “a liar” for convoy tweet. Another CP member, Leslyn Lewis, at the Freedom Convoy: The people have been lied to, and they want answers. CP leader Erin O’Toole fired by his own caucus after not supporting the Freedom Convoy. Agitators wearing Nazi symbolism are typically paid (see Paid protestor). MSM continues to present the protestors negatively like CTV’s article, ‘Very concerning’: Professor worried about extremist views present during trucker protest. Why would the MSM do that? Simple answer, MSM has been paid off as shown in the article, The Toronto Star has prostituted itself to Justin Trudeau by accepting tax dollars from hardworking Canadian families. Trudeau even brags about doing so in this video.

Religious leaders tell us God’s spirit unites. Christian leaders would more likely say the Holy Spirit unites. Albert Einstein is considered to be one of the most brilliant scientists to have ever lived. He once wrote a powerful message of love to his son. In his letter, he tells his son;

There is an extremely powerful force that, so far, science has not found a formal explanation to. It is a force that includes and governs all others, and is even behind any phenomenon operating in the universe and has not yet be. This universal force is LOVE. When scientists looked for a unified theory of the universe they forgot the most powerful unseen force.

A Baha’i Perspective says “Love is the most powerful attractive force in the universe.”

What is happening is this spiritual force —love—that Einstein refers to is uniting Canadians and the world. This spirit of togetherness is uniting humanity, conquering fear, and inspiring people to take back their intrinsic rights and freedoms. Author Cat Bauer says, “Love is so powerful that it always wins. Truth is so powerful that it always wins. All it takes is Time.” That is what I think is happening. Love, truth—and I would also add hope—is beginning to win over the fear propaganda machine. Humans were created as sovereign beings, so love, hope and truth are now reminding humanity of that. The lies and bullies (#bullying, #antibullying) are being exposed!
